Step Back in Time at the Rhineland-Palatinate Open-Air Museum

Discover 500 years of history in one unique setting! More than 40 original buildings from across the region have been carefully dismantled, transported, and reconstructed on the museum grounds. Inside, explore authentically furnished homes, workshops, and historic shops that bring different eras to life.
Stroll through scenic landscapes where Glan cattle, sheep, and goats graze peacefully. Wander past fields, gardens, vineyards, and traditional orchards filled with rare heritage plants - varieties you’ll hardly find anywhere else today. Interactive stations invite you to try things out, while modern exhibits offer discovery for all ages.

Your visit will take between two and four hours. The two kilometers long, signposted circular walk will guide you past all buildings.
